Centris Group’s Loss Grows to $9.7 Million as Sales Dip

Centris Group Inc., Costa Mesa provider of medical and specialty insurance products, reported a third-quarter net loss of $9.7 million, or 83 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million, or 10 cents a share, for the 1998 third quarter. Revenue declined 16% to $35.7 million. The sale of the company to Houston insurer HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. is expected to be completed by year-end.
