Guitar Center Reports Income Up in 3rd Quarter

Guitar Center Inc., Agoura Hills, reported net income for the third quarter that ended Sept. 30 of $3.4 million compared to $1.7 million for the same period last year. Net sales rose to $152.5 million compared to $118 million.
Guitar Center sells musical instruments and recording equipment through 68 retail outlets and through its subsidiary, Internet retailer Musician’s Friend.
