‘Terminator’ Show Content

* Re “Terminator,” Letters to the Valley Edition, May 16.
The Times reporter did not need to fabricate the story about children being afraid of the show. I brought my two daughters, ages 3 1/2 and 2, to the “Terminator” show, completely unaware of the content. As mentioned in your article, there was a place to put our stroller and no signs advising against bringing in young children.
My 2-year-old was afraid to watch any of the show, while my 3-year-old became afraid only toward the end (when a large arachnid attacks the audience in 3-D!). Although the show is fun for adults, I think it is way too intense for young children, and I’m sure many parents who attended the show with young children could inform [letter writer Bart] Sumner of outcomes similar to mine.
Universal warns that children should not go on certain rides, and I think that these recommendations should be extended to the “Terminator 2” attraction.
