No Longer Enough to Get Down on Bended Knee

Prospective bridegrooms, take note: If you’ve come up with a unique way to ask “Will you marry me?” put it in writing. The unmarried man who comes up with the most imaginative marriage proposal will be offered a Keepsake diamond engagement ring valued at $5,000.
All you have to do to enter the contest is describe, in 100 words or fewer, how you would pop the question. The essay must include the entrant’s name, address and daytime telephone number. Essays will be judged on “originality, relevance to the theme and creativity of expression.”
Send entries to Keepsake Knock It Out of the Ballpark Contest, P.O. Box 5106, Unionville, CT 06087-5106. Entries must be postmarked by June 4 and received by June 11. A winner will be announced about July 5.
