Duke was the preseason No. 1 in the polls, and was on top for three weeks before Connecticut took over for 10 weeks when Duke lost to Cincinnati.
The Huskies were on top for 10 weeks before they lost to Syracuse and Duke was on top for the final five weeks.
“All season long, it’s been us or them that was No. 1 in the country,” Avery said. “This is going to be a great game.”
