At the request of the Chamber of Commerce, the City Council will consider Tuesday buying a permanent Christmas tree for La Plaza Park. A 15- to 20-foot cedar tree would cost about $3,000 and would be decorated each year by students from R.H. Dana Elementary School before the annual tree-lighting ceremony. For six years, the chamber has provided a small tree for annual holiday events. The council meets at 6:30 p.m. at 33282 Golden Lantern, Suite 210. Information: (949) 248-9890.
