More than 2,000 people are expected to attend Valley College’s 20th annual Job Fair on Wednesday. Sixty employers will be on hand, including Pacific Bell, Federal Express and the Glendale Police Department.
“We are always inundated with people,” said Hanna Pettersson, director of Valley College’s Cooperative Education Office.
Those looking for jobs are advised to bring resumes. “Some of the employers hold interviews right there, some of them will just take names or applications and call back--my goal is to try and get as many people matched with jobs as possible,” Pettersson said.
The job fair is open to the public and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the campus’ Monarch Square.
Other employers include: Cleveland Chiropractic College, Foundation for the Junior Blind, Kaiser Permanente, KCAL/Channel 9, the Los Angeles Police Department, Universal Studios and Children’s World Learning.
