BROWNSVILLE--Logging, horseshoe tossing and husband-calling skills will come in handy at the Brownsville Mountain Fair next Saturday and Sunday, July 3-4. FORT BRAGG--The World’s Largest Salmon Barbecue is promised on Saturday, July 3, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg. Fireworks will fly over the harbor about 9 p.m. Next Sunday, a parade will roll through Mendocino at 1 p.m. Barbecue $11; $7 ages 12 and younger. (800) 726-2780.

COLUMBIA--Flags and cannon fire will kick off another traditional Fourth fest at 10 a.m. next Sunday.
