LAX — After reports of possible engine trouble, a Delta Airlines jetliner en route from Honolulu landed without incident early Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport.
Emergency crews awaited the plane after warnings from the pilot at 5:30 a.m. that a left engine indicator light was not working, a sign of a potential problem, said Nancy Castles, airport public affairs director.
The plane landed 10 minutes later, with no injuries reported by the 340 passengers and crew members.
The L-1011 jetliner had no engine problems but only a faulty indicator light, said Peggy Estes, a Delta spokeswoman.
