KPMG Names Tax Practice Director

R. Douglas Bramhall has been named a director of New York-based tax and consulting firm KPMG’s state and local tax practice in Los Angeles. Bramhall will focus on California tax and other issues. He previously worked for the California Franchise Tax Board, at which he was a tax attorney and policy advisor.
* Illig Construction Co., an 80-year-old firm based in Los Angeles, has named L. Darren Mattix executive vice president. He will focus on business development, marketing and contract administration. Mattix has worked at Illig since 1991.
