Hilton Executive Adds to Duties

* Thomas E. Gallagher, executive vice president and general counsel of Hilton Hotels Corp., has assumed the additional position of chief administrative officer of the Beverly Hills-based hotel operator. Gallagher reports to Hilton President and Chief Executive Stephen F. Bollenbach. Before joining Hilton, Gallagher served for five years as president and chief executive of The Griffin Group Inc., the New York- and Beverly Hills-based management firm for all of Merv Griffin’s business activities.
* Litton Industries, a Woodland Hills-based defense contractor and technology company, has named Christopher C. Bernhardt president of its data systems division. He formerly served as vice president of business operations at Litton’s Guidance & Control Systems division.
* Virtualis Systems Inc., a Studio City-based Web hosting provider, has appointed Joshua Benegal Marks as president and chief operating officer.
* Warner Music Group, a Burbank-based division of Time Warner Inc., has promoted Paul Vidich to executive vice president of strategic planning and business development. Vidich had been the group’s senior vice president of strategic planning, involved in global acquisitions and investment activities. In addition, Warner Music named associate counsel Mark Ansorge vice president and associate counsel. Warner Music Group includes Atlantic Group, Rhino Entertainment and Warner Bros. Records, among others.
* Bank of America has appointed Andy Anderson as consumer region executive for its local grocery store banking centers. He will be responsible for sales and customer service at 24 in-store banking centers around Southern California. Anderson joined Bank of America in 1982 and has held numerous positions. Bank of America is based in Charlotte, N.C.
* Israel Barriga has joined the Los Angeles office of Robert Half as a recruiting manager. Robert Half is a division of Robert Half International, among the world’s leading specialized staffing service.
* Ronald B. Cushey has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Harvey Entertainment Co., which manages and markets animated characters such as Casper and Richie Rich. Cushey was a member of the management investment group that financed the recent acquisition of Los Angeles-based Harvey.
