“As a category I’ve been enjoying Australian Verdelho. I like one, a 1997 Mount View Estate Verdelho. It has an aromatic intensity I’d associate with a Viognier in that it’s somewhat exotic. It’s what I’d call a full-bodied white. And it’s very good. It has enough character to stand up to well-seasoned food. I have relatives in Australia who sent it.”
