Re “Landscape Electric,” Opinion, July 4: May we please discontinue the dissemination of misinformation? Paris is not the City of Lights, it is the City of Light, so nicknamed because of the creation of wide boulevards that let in the light--one of many municipal improvements of Georges Haussmann in the mid-19th century. Kevin Starr, state librarian and USC professor, should know this.
