‘Troublemaker’ File
I found it interesting and somewhat scary that Agustin Gurza’s June 29 column about his son being linked by police to Chicano gang members merely by his presence in a park appeared on the same page as the article on Hitler’s Nuremberg laws. Worse, they have his name on file as a potential troublemaker.
Racial hatred anywhere is no more excusable than it was in Nazi Germany. It is especially intolerable here. The police in Gurza’s community owe him and his son an apology.
