The City Council will hold a public hearing today on whether to approve construction of a 90,000-square-foot retail complex facing Brea Boulevard. The complex would have eateries and clothing, book and specialty stores. The project is in a redevelopment area known as Superblocks I and II, generally bounded by Imperial Highway, Brea Boulevard, Orange Avenue and Ash Street. The Planning Commission this month approved CIM Group’s plans for the six buildings. The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 1 Civic Center Circle.
