* In an article on the euro on the front page (Dec. 29), John-Thor Dahlburg states that it will be three years until euro bills and coins are in circulation and “tourists won’t have to worry about it until then.”
As an occasional tourist to Europe, I think it will be wonderful when the euro is available. No longer will I have to convert to yet another currency every few days and then try to keep in mind its exchange rate every time I contemplate a purchase, hotel room, etc. The euro will clearly be a great boon for tourists.
