Fire swept through a Studio City residence Tuesday, killing two pets and heavily damaging the home, authorities said.
The blaze broke out around 12:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Avenida del Sol, just east of Harvard-Westlake School, said Bob Collis of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two city fire helicopters and 50 firefighters battled the fire, which caused $75,000 damage to the home and $50,000 to its contents, Collis said.
No one was injured but a dog and a cat were killed, Collis said. A second dog survived but was injured.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
