Legal Concealed Guns No Threat

Re “Concealed-Gun Permits Up” (Dec. 14):

The only loaded and concealed gun that is a threat to public safety is the one in the hands of a criminal.

Responsible citizens and off-duty law enforcement officials who legally carry concealed weapons are protectors of personal and public safety.

A rise in the number of concealed-weapon permits will make our streets safer.
