Krzyzewski Is Wooden Winner

Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski will receive the John R. Wooden “Legends of Coaching” honor in April.
The award was instituted by the Wooden Award Committee last year, and former North Carolina coach Dean Smith was the first honoree. The award recognizes the lifetime achievement of coaches who exemplify Wooden’s standards of coaching success and personal achievement, the committee said.
Krzyzewski will receive his trophy April 7 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
