The Orange County Water District in Fountain Valley is celebrating its 10th year supporting Operation Santa Claus. Employees will bring in toys and gifts that will be distributed to underprivileged children and senior citizens throughout the county for Christmas. Many of the children have been abused, abandoned, neglected, placed in foster homes or have parents without means to provide gifts. Each year between 60 and 100 children and seniors receive the gifts.
Other agencies participating in Operation Santa Claus include the Orange County Fire Authority, Foster Care Auxiliary, Orangewood Children’s home, Orange County Health Care Agency and Orange County Social Services.
