A land battle is shaping up between the Boys and Girls Club and the Brea Historical Society. The club wants to build a new facility at City Hall Park, but society members say they don’t want any more structures on the historical site. The City Council will decide the issue within the next few months. Plans call for a renovation of the club’s existing building at Arovista Park and the restoration of a police building at City Hall Park, where a new gymnasium would also be built. The club has already started raising money for construction, even though the plans haven’t been approved by the city.
