* Karen Hall has been named a member of the 1999 Executive Council of New York Life Insurance Co. Members of the council rank in the top tier of New York Life’s active agents in the United States, based on 1998-99 sales achievement.
Hall has been a New York Life agent since 1981 and is associated with its Central Coast General Office in Oxnard.
* Christina Myers of Camarillo has received an employee recognition award from the city of Oxnard Housing Authority for her innovation and improvements on the job. An administrative assistant, she was recognized for her capabilities with computers.
Myers has an eight-year background with the Navy as a cryptanalyst specializing in communications.
