The City Council on Monday authorized the city engineer to apply for federal funding for its town center and citywide tree programs. The Transportation Enhancement Activity program offers funding to local agencies to be used for transportation-related projects that enhance the quality of life in and around transportation facilities.
The cost of the town center project is estimated at $750,260; the tree program would cost $948,000.
