Neighbors who are fighting a proposed Alzheimer’s home at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Summit Drive may have to wait to finish their battle because the developer has requested that the City Council delay holding another public hearing until the council has filled a seat that is soon to be vacant.
In a letter sent Friday, developers asked to cancel a Sept. 21 public hearing on the 80-bed home for senior’s with Alzheimer’s disease. The council is expected to vote Tuesday on the request.
Longtime Councilman Gene Wisner announced Aug. 3 that the Sept. 7 meeting would be his last.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, 4845 Casa Loma Ave.
