A mini home run race rivaling Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa riveted the Recreation Department’s spring/ summer slow-pitch softball league this year. Paul Truelove and Ed Taylor, both of team Trend Offset, duked it out in the D4 division until the regular season ended in late July. Truelove took the home run crown with eight dingers, while Taylor settled for six. Home run totals from the playoffs did not count.
