Sheriff’s deputies Saturday found a man stabbed to death in a home in the 44200 block of Hanstead Avenue, authorities said.
The attack was reported as a domestic disturbance at about 9:30 a.m., Deputy Steven Flamm of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies entered the house, saw a large amount of blood in the entryway and found the victim lying in a rear bedroom, stabbed twice in his upper body with an unknown object. The victim was the caretaker at the residence, Flamm said. He was identified by the coroner’s office as Benny Ennis, 58.
Deputies responding to the call were met by a 42-year-old woman who was determined to be mentally impaired, Flamm said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was detained for questioning Saturday night.
