Mascot Names

With all the complaints about sports teams taking names deemed offensive to Native Americans, it’s worth noting that our country’s fleet of military helicopters also bears American Indian monikers: the Apache, the Blackhawk, the Commanche, the Hokum et al. Considering the damage the U.S. military wrought on this continent’s first residents, I’d say such nicknaming of weapons of war is far more offensive than calling some ol’ baseball team the Braves or the Indians.
