What’s happening the next few weeks:
* The Boston Ballet presents “Dracula,” with music by Franz Liszt arranged by John Lanchbery and choreography by Ben Stevenson, artistic director of the Houston Ballet. May 4-23 at the Wang Center for the Performing Arts, 268 Tremont St. $12.50-$69. (800) 447-7400.
* The Boston Marathon, the 103-year-old granddaddy of all long-distance races, is Patriot’s Day, April 19, at noon. About 1 million people show up to watch the race from rural Hopkinton to downtown Boston. The course record of 2:07:15 belongs to Kenyan Cosmas Ndeti, set in 1994. (617) 236-1652.
* The Boston Museum of Fine Arts will re-create works of art in flowers for their “Art in Bloom” event April 27-29. Tickets to the opening gala, April 26, cost $125 each, and there will be featured speakers and a fashion show on the remaining days, $50 to $75. Guided tours are available daily, 10 to 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 7:15.
