Dan River Inc. said it plans to close a factory, firing 150 workers, as it reported net income of $5.8 million, 16% higher than a year ago.Revenue rose 2% to $118.6 million. The textile company cited falling orders for fabric in the face of cheaper imports from Asia for apparel for the plant closure, which will result in a pretax charge of $8.5 million in the fourth quarter.
