Ice Dogs Prevail in Shootout

The Ice Dogs got a late third-period goal by Patrik Augusta to tie the score, then outscored Houston, 2-0, in a shootout to earn a 5-4 International Hockey League victory on Friday night at Long Beach.
Augusta, the league scoring leader, recorded his 14th goal on an unassisted play with less than five minutes to play to tie the score, 4-4.
Dan Lambert scored the decisive goal in the shootout for the Ice Dogs, and Jocelyn Lemieux added a pair of power-play goals in regulation.
