In another Division VII quarterfinal:

Charter Oak 37, Chaminade 13--Lee Grassini rushed for 136 yards in 19 carries and scored two touchdowns but the Eagles fell short at Chaminade.

Chaminade (7-5) took its only lead of the game, 13-10, with 10:34 left in the second quarter when Grassini scored on a 16-yard run.

Chaminade pulled to within 16-13 with 34 seconds left in the half on a four-yard scoring run by Grassini, which was set up by a 39-yard pass play from Eric Zdenek to Bobby Shoraka.

Steve Stevenson of Charter Oak (8-2-1) rushed 21 times for 94 yards and touchdowns of three, one and three yards. He also scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass play from Josh Rangel.
