The Huntington Youth Shelter, a short-term home for teenagers in crisis, is asking residents to sponsor a snowflake for its second Light of Lights on the Pier. Each of the pier’s 54 lampposts will be decorated with a 5-foot-tall snowflake with tiny white lights.
Shelter directors hope to raise $25,000 from snowflake sponsorships this year. A flake can be “bought” for plans ranging from $500 to $5,000. The lighting ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 29. Information: (714) 847-KIDS.
