Starting Jan. 1, a city law will prohibit new operators of adult businesses from offering nude entertainment. The City Council recently crafted a tougher ordinance that gives officials more power to regulate sex-oriented businesses. Final adoption is expected Nov. 17.
Council members revised the city’s law to coincide with recent state legislation.
The city has three nude theaters, which can continue to feature nude entertainment. But two topless clubs in the city are not exempt from the changes, city officials said.
