A discussion on whether to permit the construction of a 31,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on Cochran Street will be among topics addressed when Neighborhood Council No. 1 convenes for its July meeting.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m. on July 9, the council will discuss and make recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council about a proposed concrete tilt-up manufacturing complex on Cochran Street.
The council, which represents residents living west of 1st Street and Sinaloa Road, also will discuss a proposed gas station near the Costco on Madera Road and the ongoing ground-water problem in the Sutter Avenue area.
Simi Valley’s four Neighborhood Councils act as an advisory board for the Planning Commission and City Council.
Neighborhood Council No. 1 will meet in the Community Room at City Hall, located at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
For information on the meeting, call the city’s Department of Community Services at 583-6756.
