TMM Set to Acquire Emission Controls Firm

TMM Inc. in Camarillo announced it has entered into a memorandum of understanding to acquire Emission Controls Corp., which is based in Nevada.
ECC is the patent holder for the Natural Resources Fuel Reformer system, which the company says delivers hydrocarbon-based fuels to an internal combustion engine, resulting in exhaust with almost no toxic emissions and pollutants.
The product is designed as a retrofit for autos that do not comply with EPA emissions standards or as a replacement for emissions control systems on new cars.
TMM will begin marketing the systems for delivery in spring 1999. The acquisition will be in the form of a stock-for-stock exchange.
TMM will provide its technology and multimedia background to build online video training and instruction capabilities that will guide the repair and retrofit process for the system worldwide.
During the transition period, both companies will work out of offices at the Lowry Air Force Base Development Park in Denver.
