Santa Ana-based MotorVac Technologies Inc. said it expects second-quarter results to fall below estimates because its largest distributor reduced inventory levels, resulting in a decline from first quarter sales of $3.1 million. The company, which makes products for repairing automotive fluid systems, also said it expects to post a loss for the three months ending June 30.
MotorVac reported net income of $196,239, or 4 cents a share, including a credit from litigation, on sales of $2.7 million for the second quarter last year. The company said it expects its largest distributor to increase its order level in a few months.
MotorVac also said it plans to focus on other market segments such as diesel engine and quick service and to add alternative channels of distribution.
