Former King Becomes the First Predator

A former King prospect became the expansion Nashville Predators’ first player on Monday when right wing Marian Cisar was traded in exchange for future considerations.
Cisar, a 20-year-old Slovakian, has yet to play in the NHL and spent the past two seasons with Spokane of the Western Hockey League. Cisar scored 33 goals and 73 points last season.
“Beginning with a player like Marian will allow us to start with youth and begin the development of depth in our organization,” Nashville General Manager David Poile said in a statement.
The Predators are the first of four expansion franchises and will begin play this fall.
