Great but Messy

Just wanted to thank you for the Perfect Latke recipe (“Eight Days of Latkes,” Dec. 17). I tried it this Hanukkah, and it was a great success.

Next year could you print guidelines for a no-mess experience cooking the Perfect Latke? I had oil everywhere, despite using a splatter shield, and spent 20 minutes cleaning the stove top afterward.
