UC Admission

I am a nonminority enrolled in my second year at UCLA. Toyee Oyewole’s Sept. 10 letter makes several statements about how minorities cannot gain entry to the UC system because of no connections with the UC chancellor, no alumni favors, no Ivy League undergraduate experience and being a minority who cannot afford an Ivy League school, boldly asking, “How do you want minorities to get a college education?”

The same way we poor white folks do without chancellor, alumni or Ivy League connections. Good old-fashioned hard work.
