Lincoln 37, Verdugo Hills 12--The Dons (0-6, 0-3) were unable to muster enough offense to catch the Tigers (2-4, 1-2) in a Northern Conference game at Lincoln.
Trailing, 16-0, Verdugo Hills’ Evan Armstrong scored on a one-yard run to close the gap to 16-6 at halftime. That was as close as the Dons got to spoiling Lincoln’s homecoming.
Armstrong scored on another one-yard run midway through the fourth quarter.
Running back Roderick Adams led Verdugo Hills with 43 yards rushing in six carries. Quarterback Phillip Brathwaite completed seven of 16 passes for 78 yards.
