Former Griffins Won’t Play

Two former Los Alamitos High quarterbacks, Hawaii’s Tim Carey and BYU’s Kevin Feterik, are injured and will not play when their teams meet Saturday in Provo, Utah.
Carey sustained a third-degree separation of his right shoulder during a 35-6 loss to Wyoming two weeks ago. He is not expected back until next week’s game against San Diego State. Feterik suffered a fractured ankle during a 27-14 loss to Rice Saturday and is expected to miss at least four weeks.
