Kristine McKenna quotes Museum of Contemporary Art curator Connie Butler as saying that since there is no economy in Cuba, and no jobs, “nobody works--which is great for artists, who’re free to devote all their time to making work” (“Beyond the Iron Canvas,” Nov. 9).
I think I can speak for large numbers of people in thanking Ms. Butler for choosing a career in art rather than in economics.
