Butterworth Leads Lucerne Valley Past St. Margaret’s

LUCERNE VALLEY —  Eric Butterworth scored three touchdowns and rushed for 81 yards in 13 carries to lead Lucerne Valley to a 44-12 Freedom League victory over St. Margaret’s Friday.

Butterworth caught a 10-yard touchdown pass, scored on a three-yard run and returned an interception 80 yards for a score as Lucerne Valley finished the regular season 10-0, 5-0.

Dylan Gilbert scored both touchdowns for St. Margaret’s (4-5, 3-2). Gilbert scored on a three-yard run and caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Alex Perin.
