Four Venice High School winners of the National Science Bowl are on an all-expenses paid trip to the International Science School program at the University of Sydney in Australia.
The team members in Australia are David Dickinson, 17, Adam Ferrell, 16, Matthew Nickens, 17, Ryan Young, 17, and Noah Bray-Ali, 17. They are accompanied by their coach and chemistry teacher, Richard Erdman.
But Bray-Ali did not accompany his teammates. “He wants the chance to win a world medal in the International Physics Olympiad in Ontario, Canada,” said Walter Zeisel, an official with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, which sponsored the Venice team.
