Ermolenko Wins Speedway Scratch Main

COSTA MESA —  Sam Ermolenko of Cypress won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 5,707 Saturday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Steve Lucero of San Pablo was second and Ed Castro of Ojai placed third.

Castro won the eight-lap handicap main event and Johnny Walker of Ontario won the five-lap support class main. The four-lap sidecar main was won by Duane Carmont of Rowland Heights and Richard Taling of Huntington Beach.
