West Covina South Hills 10, San Luis Obispo 7--Chris Herman tripled in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning and Ryan Smith pitched well in relief as South Hills won the Division IV title.
Smith, who started the game at first base, pitched the final 4 2/3 innings, giving up two runs while recording two strikeouts.
South Hills (23-7) scored four runs in the first inning, but San Luis Obispo (22-8) answered with four runs in the top of the second.
Herman had four hits and two RBIs and left fielder Chris Diblasi had two hits, four RBIs and scored two runs to lead a 15-hit attack.
First baseman Joe Diefenderfer led San Luis Obispo with two hits and three RBIs.
