The driver of the other car, Flint Mavis, 24, of Beverly Hills, has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, Valdovinos said. Mavis was traveling south on Laurel Canyon when his car crossed the double yellow line and slammed into the victims’ car traveling in the northbound lane, authorities said. Investigators said the accident apparently was alcohol-related.
