Is Peter O’Malley unhappy with Rupert Murdoch or the fans? Apparently both. He’s signing Fred Claire for three additional years. Well, at least no one will have to call the Psychic Network to learn the Dodgers won’t be doing any World Series playing for a few years.

Eric Karros is accepting of his own mediocrity. Every year he gets off to a bad start. And according to Eric, we should accept it too, even after he signed in the off-season for a truckload of money. Well, Eric, I think a player who accepts that kind of money and then proceeds to accept his own mediocre performance isn’t worth the paper the checks are printed on.
