ANAHEIM — Investigators arrested two men and six women suspected of operating a prostitution ring disguised as an escort service, and police are asking for public assistance in locating other similar businesses.
A three-month investigation revealed that Extreme Entertainment, an escort service at 720 S. Euclid St., was a prostitution service, Police Lt. Jim Flammini said. Investigators arrested two women earlier this week on suspicion of sex solicitation.
Detectives served a search warrant Thursday and found evidence to arrest four other women suspected of prostitution. The names of the women arrested were not readily available.
Also taken into custody Thursday were Louis Nello Valenzuela, 30, of Anaheim and Anthony Merrick Roberts, 54, of Fullerton on suspicion of pimping and pandering.
The city’s vice detail unit is “aggressively investigating ‘escort’ and ‘out-call’ services operating as fronts for prostitution activity,” Flammini said. “We welcome any information on these types of services operating in Orange County.”
