Alemany Cruises Past Temple City

Dana Rios scored a career-high 24 points and freshman guard Kate Beckler added 22 for Alemany High in a 70-38 victory over Temple City on Saturday night in a girls’ basketball game at L.A. Baptist.
Kelly Kobayashi collected eight points and 13 assists for the Indians (13-2), who are ranked eighth in the region by The Times.
Channel Islands 64, Agoura 52--Elinor Ecoffey scored 26 points and had 15 rebounds for the Raiders in a Marmonte League game at Agoura.
Chenee Tuimoloau added 17 points and nine steals.
Ecoffey scored 11 of her points in the fourth quarter when Channel Islands (10-5, 4-0) broke away from a 43-43 deadlock.
The Chargers helped the Raiders pull away by committing eight turnovers in the quarter.
Meghan Skelly had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Agoura (6-8, 1-3). Kristin DeSimone collected 10 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots.
Cornerstone Christian 76, Dunn 15--Julie Siefert had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles (11-2, 3-0) in a Condor League game at Dunn.
Siefert also had eight assists and eight steals.
Karri Becker added 22 points and 13 rebounds for Cornerstone Christian.
La Reina 60, L.A. Baptist 27--Kindrea Cuccia scored 17 points for the Regents at La Reina.
Catherine Fontecha added 12 points for La Reina (6-3).
Deanna Bergeson scored 16 points for the Knights (4-6).
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Santa Maria St. Joseph 79, St. Bonaventure 58--Jake DeGennaro score 21 points but they weren’t enough for the Seraphs (6-8) at Santa Maria.
Pepe Villasenor had 16 points for St. Bonaventure.
Mike Hoffman scored 22 for the Knights.
Marshall 72, Village Christian 54--Matt Thorpe had 17 points and 11 rebounds but the Crusaders (5-9, 1-2) went down to defeat in an Alpha League game at Marshall.
WRESTLING
Highland Tournament: The Bulldogs posted a 10-0 record to win its round-robin, dual-match tournament at Palmdale.
Six Bulldog wrestlers won weight-class championships.
Stuart Young went 10-0 for the Bulldogs in the 152-pound division, winning nine with first-period pins and another match by forfeit. Young has a 31-4 record, including 23 pins.
Other Highland champions were John Garfinkel (125), Roland Aldabert (130), Robert Estrada (135), Cory King (189) and Joe Younan (215).
